NAMI Programs

Across the country, thousands of trained NAMI volunteers bring peer-led programs to a wide variety of community settings, from churches to schools to NAMI Affiliates. With the unique understanding of people with lived experience, these programs and support groups provide outstanding free education, skills training and support. 

For confidentiality reasons, support groups are not open to nursing students for observations. Please attend our General Meetings instead on the first Wednesday of each month,Thank you. 


Education Classes


NAMI Basics is a class for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents who have either been diagnosed with a mental health condition or who are experiencing symptoms but have not yet been diagnosed. Next Class starts:

 February 1st to March 8th

NAMI Family-to-Family is a class for families, partners and friends of individuals with mental illness. The course is designed to facilitate a better understanding of mental illness, increase coping skills and empower participants to become advocates for their family members. This program was designated as an evidence-based program by SAMHSA.

 Este es un programa para la familia que le ayuda a romper con la desesperación y el aislamiento, a través de comprender y recibir apoyo para personas que tienen un miembro de familia que sufre de: Depresión Severa Trastorno Bipolar (También conocido como Depresión Mániaca)  Esquizofrenia Trastorno Esquizo-Afectivo  Ansiedad y Pánico Trastorno Obsesivo y Compulsivo Diagnóstico Doble (Abuso de sustancias y enfermedad mental)

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a 10 week recovery education course open to anyone experiencing a mental health challenge. The course is designed to encourage growth, healing and recovery among participants.

NAMI FaithNet is an interfaith resource network of NAMI members, friends, clergy and congregations of all faith traditions who wish to encourage faith communities who are welcoming and supportive of persons and families living with mental illness. NAMI FaithNet strives to encourage welcoming, caring congregations as well as to promote the vital role of spirituality in the recovery journeys of many who live with mental health conditions, those for whom faith is a key component. Nondenominational; all faiths are welcome.
