While studying to become a clinical psychologist, Dr. Xavier Amador had a life-altering experience when his older brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia. In an effort to understand and help his brother, he and his colleagues at Colombia University uncovered a new way to approach patients previously thought to be in denial.  An internationally renowned clinical and forensic psychologist and leader in his field. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

Mayim Bialik is an American actress, author, and neuroscientist. In this video, Mayim Bialik shares her personal connection of living with and loving someone with a mental health condition.  She also discusses her thoughts on being #StigmaFree and how she turns to NAMI as a resource for herself and those whom she loves.
